Christmas in a Caravan

When we took the park over six years ago, it had never been open for Christmas before. When we first made bookings available over Christmas we didn’t know how many people would even be interested in joining us for the festive season but it turns out quite a lot!

Christmas guests might be staying with us for the convenience of visiting friends and family on the island who perhaps don’t have enough room to accommodate everyone all at once, to enjoy a restorative twixmas escape, or to avoid the usual Christmas mayhem entirely and disconnect for a little while.

Whilst enjoying the secluded island location, our festive visitors might still feel the need to fulfil the time-honoured tradition of a cheeky Christmas Day pint and can do just that with a visit to one of the great local pubs. Others might choose to take to the coastal path to work off their Christmas lunch and luckily it’s just on our doorstep.

Seasonal highlights out and about might include the Christmas Day Weymouth Harbour Swim (a must-see event!) and New Year’s Eve Fancy Dress Party in Weymouth (one of the top 10 of places to spend New Year’s in Europe!)

All that said, we know the best part of the Christmas break is hunkering down and overindulging for a bit so we don’t expect everyone to be braving the cold. Whether delivering presents, donning the wellies or enjoying a well deserved duvet day, either on park or elsewhere this Christmas, we wish all our guests – past, present and future a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
