  • Hayloft Cafe and Bar – Closed
  • Penn Estate Cellar – Closed
  • Estate Office – Closed, but being operated remotely

Managing Bookings and Refunds

The Estate is still taking future bookings and arranging weddings and events remotely. If you would like us to add your details to our contact list, so that we contact you to make your booking as soon as the Estate reopens, then please send your details to office@thepennestate.co.uk detailing where and when you would ideally like to stay with us, or follow us on social media to be kept up to date with our current information.

Our approach to amending or refunding bookings that can no longer go ahead due to government restrictions is prioritised based on the date of the booking and the legislation in force at that time. This is to ensure fairness when allocating dates for rearranged holidays or events. If a booking or event is at a time where current Government advice indicates that it may be able to proceed then our normal terms and conditions will apply.

We are currently refunding and postponing bookings through to the end of June based on Government guidelines regarding changes to the hospitality industry from 4th July. If you have a booking with us due to take place from July onwards we expect your booking to be able to go ahead unless future government guidelines prevent the Estate from reopening.

Reopening the Estate

The Estate will reopen as soon as the Government Guidelines permit.

We have already prepared plans for social distancing and remote management for when we are able to reopen. As we do not operate the Castle as a hotel or offer any communal guest spaces elsewhere on the Estate, our ability to provide exclusive space for families across all our rental accommodation will give people the opportunity to manage their own safe environment.

We will provide details regarding the operation of the Estate and Guest Requirements as soon as we have permission to reopen.

Next Review: 15th June
